# Shogun NFT Staking (Pre-Launch)

**Staking has the following effects**

Shogun card timer: Start of staking and end of staking are tracked.

If this period is equivalent to 168 hours (7 days), the system notes:

* The user can CLAIM REWARD.
* This specific Shogun will increase by 1 level
* The Player’s Reward Crate will increase by 1

If the period exceeds 168 hours, the system notes:

* Claim Reward appears, showing the Shogun has exceeded required 168 hours of time.
* The User can still CLAIM REWARD
* Reward as above
* Hours in excess of 168 are ignored

Users who want to maximize the use of their Shoguns must stake, then claim every 168 hours.

SHOGUN LEVEL = This later is the value that can be used to determine the Player’s Currency Exchange Cap later on.

PROVINCE UPGRADE POINTS = These can later be spent on the game launch to upgrade or expand one’s province.
