# Province (Land)

Players can assign Shoguns to govern a certain Province. When they opt to do so, they lock in the Shogun in a setup similar to staking.

Assigning Shoguns to a Province increases the player’s Currency Exchange Cap, or the amount a player can trade in-game resources to real-life tokens.

Resources generated by the province can also be traded in for real-world tokens. The rate of resource generation is determined by EXP, which is generated by Shoguns.

Players can assign multiple Shoguns in a single Province to further increase the cap. Having multiple Shoguns assigned to a single province increases the EXP gain rate, which increases the resource production rate and also the amount of in-game currency the player can convert to real-life tokens.

Provinces will also house future features that would provide different activities to the player, like the ability to convert unwanted cards into in-game currency.

Shoguns and Provinces are currently not directly connected to the actual card game, as they serve as avenues to generate resources for the player.
